The Problem: Foot Strike, Then Throw
When your front foot lands before your throwing action begins, your sequence is already compromised.
The problem often starts in your starting position.
Your balance is disrupted, your front knee moves behind your front hip, and your lower body no longer efficiently leads the throw.
Front Foot Lands → Body Stops → Arm Throws
Instead of your entire body delivering the baseball, your throwing arm must compensate.
You begin muscling the ball toward the target, which reduces command, limit efficient velocity, and place unnecessary stress on the throwing arm.
The Solution: Foot Strike And Throw
Build the motion from a balanced starting position.
Your glove hand initiates the stride, your lower body moves toward the target, and your front foot strikes as your throwing action develops.
Glove Hand → Lower Body → Foot Strike + Throw
Now the foot strike isn’t followed by the throw, your foot strike becomes part of the throw.
Your lower body, core, and throwing arm work together as ONE motion, allowing momentum to travel through the body and into the baseball.
Pitch Smart
Don’t land and then throw. Land as you throw.
When your sequence is connected, your entire body delivers the baseball with greater command, efficient velocity, and repeatability.
