Your Pitch Begins Heel to Heel

Before your glove hand moves, before your front foot strides, and before your throwing hand delivers the baseball, your feet establish the balance for your entire motion.

Build The Balance

Begin with your front heel close to and even with your back heel.

This heel-to-heel relationship helps keep your front knee aligned with your front shoulder while preventing your weight and head from moving toward the target too soon.

Now your body is balanced and prepared to move in sequence.

Let The Glove Hand Start The Motion

From this balanced position, your glove hand becomes the trigger.

As the glove hand moves across your body, your glove hand prompts your lower body to move.

Your hips respond, your stride develops, and your throwing hand prepares to deliver the baseball.

The movements work together as ONE motion, and your front foot doesn’t land and then tell your arm to throw.

When Balance Is Lost

When the feet begin out of position, the head and weight can move too soon.

The front foot may land before the body is ready to throw, leaving the throwing arm to compensate and find the target.
