Balance Starts Before the Pitch

Your pitch begins with how you stand.

Build The Balance

A balanced starting position places your heels close together, with your weight evenly distributed between your feet.

Your feet give your body a stable foundation before you begin moving.

When you start balanced, your lower body can move efficiently, your core transfers that movement, and your throwing hand doesn’t have to compensate to find the target.

Balance → Direction → Sequence → Throw

Let The Glove Hand Trigger The Motion

Once you’re balanced, your glove hand becomes the trigger.

The glove hand moves across your body and prompts your hips to respond, the hips activate the lower body, your stride develops, and your throwing hand delivers the baseball.

Glove Hand → Hips → Front Leg → Throwing Hand

Your glove hand helps organize the movements that allow your entire body to deliver the pitch.

When you begin out of balance, every movement that follows must compensate.

When you begin balanced, each movement can prompt the next.

That’s how you build repeatable command and efficient velocity without asking your throwing arm to do the entire job.

Build the balance. Move the glove hand. Let the sequence deliver the baseball.

Your Pitch Begins Heel to Heel

Before your glove hand moves, before your front foot strides, and before your throwing hand delivers the baseball, your feet establish the balance for your entire motion.

Build The Balance

Begin with your front heel close to and even with your back heel.

This heel-to-heel relationship helps keep your front knee aligned with your front shoulder while preventing your weight and head from moving toward the target too soon.

Now your body is balanced and prepared to move in sequence.

Let The Glove Hand Start The Motion

From this balanced position, your glove hand becomes the trigger.

As the glove hand moves across your body, your glove hand prompts your lower body to move.

Your hips respond, your stride develops, and your throwing hand prepares to deliver the baseball.

The movements work together as ONE motion, and your front foot doesn’t land and then tell your arm to throw.

When Balance Is Lost

When the feet begin out of position, the head and weight can move too soon.

The front foot may land before the body is ready to throw, leaving the throwing arm to compensate and find the target.

The Impact of Proper Shoulder Alignment

Your shoulder alignment influences everything that happens after your starting position.

Proper Shoulder Alignment

When your shoulders are properly aligned with the target, your body is positioned to move in sequence.

Your lower body engages, your glove hand moves freely across your body, and your throwing hand follows a direct path toward the target.

Instead of your throwing arm creating the pitch, your entire body delivers it.

Glove Hand → HIPS → Front Leg → Throwing Hand

Proper alignment creates the foundation for better direction, efficient velocity, repeatable command, and a connected throwing action.

Misaligned Shoulders

When your shoulders begin out of alignment, everything that follows must compensate.

Your lower body struggles to engage correctly, your glove hand can’t perform its job, your shoulders open too early, and your throwing arm takes over and searches for the target.

The result?

Less command. Less efficient velocity. Less consistency.

Get Better Results

Don’t ask your throwing arm to correct a problem that began with your shoulder alignment.

Align your shoulders, engage your lower body, and let your sequence deliver the baseball.
