The Desired “Pitching Process” You’re Searching For

Pro Pitching Institute is one of the top 100 baseball blogs on the Internet.Finding your target with uncanny regularity comes from being “in balance” (starting your motion with your Front Knee in front of your Front Hip).

Your Front Knee getting behind your Front Hip is an “out of balance” or “balanced” position.

Your Body is Always Getting “In Balance”

Your Body always does several natural things to get back to “in balance”.  The instant you’re “out of balance” becomes the instant your Body makes these adjustments.

  • What does happen – What should happen
  1. Hips follow Glove Arm – Your Glove Arm triggers your Lower Body.
  2. Stride and Throw – Your Throwing Action is part of your entire motion.
  3. Front Foot before Stride – Your Glove Arm needs to move before your Front Foot.
  4. Heels too far apart – Your Heels being close creates an “in balance” motion.
  5. Throwing Arm trigger – Your “in balance” motion has your Glove Arm promoting your Throwing Action.
  6. Uneven Hips – Your Lower Body rotates.
  7. Late Hands separation – Your Hands need to separate before your Stride.
  8. Front Knee position – Your Back Knee begins toward Second Base.
  9. Shoulder alignment – Your Shoulders need to be aligned with your Hips.
  10. Stride timing – Your Stride needs to happen before your Hands move.
  11. Stride with Feet first – You need your Front Foot to move after your Hands.
  12. Throwing Hand Offsetting Stride – Your Throwing Hand needs to stay in front of your Body.
  13. Bent at Waist – Your Body is vertical going into your release.
  14. Throwing Arm initiates Throwing Action – Your Glove Arm initiates your Throwing Action.

Add only five segments to your starting “Pitching Process” and you stay “in balance”, you send your ball to your target with uncanny regularity, and your motion should never change!

The Pro Pitching Institute teaches you these 5 Segments on every motion, or your instruction is free … No questions… No hassles… and no hard feelings.

SHOULDERS, COMMAND, AND YOUR LOWER BODY

Pro Pitching Institute is one of the top 100 baseball blogs on the Internet.

Shoulders In Line

As you move into your release, your Shoulders being in line with your target promotes your Lower Body and locates your pitches.

Moving into your Stride with your Shoulders in line also brings your Lower Body in line.

This loosens your Glove Arm to get your Lower Body engaged in your Throwing Action.

Your Lower Body pulls your Throwing Hand into release and drives the ball into your target with uncanny regularity.

Shoulders Out of Line

Your Shoulders out of line signifies your Lower Body needs to get in line with your Shoulders.

The only way to do this is to land your Stride.

With your Front Foot on the ground, your Shoulders move in line, and you make your Throwing Action.

Your Glove Arm follows your Throwing Arm, and your Lower Body is there to stabilize your actions.

Your Front Foot on the ground means your Glove Arm, instead of firing your Lower Body, is used to balance your motion.

Your Throwing Hand fires the ball to your target.

Your Glove Hand works to keep your Body in balance, and you deliver the ball to a larger-than-expected target area.

Setting Up Your Lower Body

With your Back Knee in the proper position and your Feet one baseball width apart, your Front Foot comes straight up.

The movement of your Front Foot places your Front Knee in front of your Front Hip.

“Legitimate” Foot Strikes

Pro Pitching Institute is one of the top 100 baseball blogs on the Internet.

Preliminaries

Gravity controls your Throwing Action.

Either your weight causes you to “Stride, then Throw” or you “Stride and Throw”.

Foot Strike, Then Throw

You end your Starting Position with your Front Hip behind your Back Leg.

Your Body fighting with gravity causes you to lose control of your entire motion.

Your Front Leg brings your weight forward and you land your Foot Strike.

You find your balance, get ready to throw your pitch, and deliver your ball.

Your weight initiating your Throwing Action gets the ball to a larger-than-expected target area.

Foot Strike, And Throw

You end your Starting Position with your weight balanced just in front of your Back Foot.

From this balanced position, your Glove Hand initiates your Stride.

Your Glove Hand comes forward, your weight shifts and your Lower Body initiates your Throwing Arm.

Gravity causes your Glove Hand Palm to go up, and you deliver the ball to your target.

Your Throwing Arm follows your Glove Hand, and you find your target with uncanny regularity.

“Legitimate” Shoulders

Pro Pitching Institute is one of the top 100 baseball blogs on the Internet.

“False” Shoulders

Your Shoulders being out of line with your target makes it much more difficult to hit your target.

You’re wasting your time with your Glove Hand position prompting your Shoulders to aim away from your target.

With your Glove Hand encouraging your entire Body to direct your ball away from your target, your Front Leg lift positions your Front Knee behind your Front Hip.

With your Front Knee behind your Front Hip, your Lower Body fails to get involved.

You miss your target and, without an incentive for your Throwing Hand to hit your target, this will continue.

“Legitimate” Shoulders

A way to find your target is to get your Shoulders to be in line with your target and fire your Glove Arm.

Your Glove Arm moving toward your target animates your Lower Body.

With your Lower Body involved, your Front Leg lift reacts to your Shoulder position, your Lower Body fires, and the ball goes to your target.

You find the ball going into your target with great regularity.

To create a position for your Front Knee to end up in front of your Front Hip, your Feet begin close together.

From this position, you want your front Thigh to rotate outward.

Your Front Knee stays in front of your Front Hip, your Front Toe lines up with your Back Hip, and your Front Foot toes point toward Home Plate.

“False” Internal Rotation

Without exception, your Feet in any other position prompts your Front Knee to go behind your Front Hip.

No matter how you maneuver your Body, your Lower Body will always follow your Throwing Arm, your ball will periodically go into your target, but no regularly.

You rely on the Hitter to make your outing something with structure.

From this position, your Glove Hand moves first, and the rest of your Body follows your Glove Hand movement.

Your Glove Hand movement takes you into your Stride, and, as a natural balanced reaction, you fire your Hips.

Your Hip movement pulls your Throwing Hand forward and your pitch goes to your target with uncanny regularity.

“False Internal Rotation”

From your Front Leg lift to your Stride, your natural response becomes your Throwing Hand going behind your Body.

To keep your Body in balance, your Throwing Hand essentially offsets your Stride.

The weight from your Stride causes your Front Foot to hit the ground, your Throwing Arm delivers the ball, and your Hips follow.

Your Throwing Arm working by itself expands your target area.

Your Glove Hand and Command

Pro Pitching Institute is one of the top 100 baseball blogs on the Internet.

Your Glove Hand Palm

Your Glove Hand Palm flipping up powers your Throwing Action.

It’s the timing of your Glove Hand Palm that determines the size of your target area.

Your Glove Hand makes your target area the size of your Glove all the way to nonexistent.

No Glove Hand

When you begin your motion with your Front Foot behind your Front Hip or your Front Foot wider than your Shoulders, your Glove Hand Palm reacts to your motion.

Your Glove Hand is used for balance, goes the way your Body determines, and essentially moves where needed.

Your Throwing Hand delivers the ball into a target area that’s larger than a controlled Glove Hand Palm naturally produces.

An Ideal Glove Hand

Ideally, you want your Body to be in balance.

Being in a balanced state means your Front Foot is even with your Back Toes and your Front Toe point toward your target.

Your Glove Hand naturally turns over, you Stride, and your Throwing Hand delivers the ball to your target.

Your ball goes directly to your target.

Better Command

Your Glove Hand Palm regularly places the ball in your target with uncanny regularity.

The Pro Pitching Institute teaches you a Glove Arm movement to promote your command, or your instruction is free … No questions… No hassles… and no hard feelings.

Your Glove Arm and Command

Pro Pitching Institute is one of the top 100 baseball blogs on the Internet.

In your motion, your Glove Arm is used for balance.

Depending on your balance within your Starting Position, you either command the ball with uncanny regularity or use your Throwing Arm to command the ball within a much larger target area.

Out of Balance

You’re out of balance when an overactive Front Knee finishes behind your Front Hip and places all your weight over your Back Foot.

Heading to your release, your Glove Arm wants to keep your Body in balance and, as such, is not involved with your release.

You naturally land your Stride, your Glove Side Shoulder clears, and you release your pitch.

Your release forces your Throwing Hand to miss your target over the plate with indisputable consequences.

In Balance

Being in balance finds your “center of gravity” directly over your Back Foot Instep.

Your good Stride begins with your Glove Arm moving toward your target and ends with your Glove Arm Palm naturally turning upward.

With your Body in balance, your Glove Arm has freed itself to guide your Throwing Hand into release.

Better Command

Your Throwing Action regularly places the ball in your target with uncanny regularity.

The Pro Pitching Institute teaches you a Glove Arm movement to promote your command, or your instruction is free … No questions… No hassles… and no hard feelings.
